Softener & Towels

So If you didn't know, I'm absolutely in love with fabric softener...I don't know why, I just am! Here recently  I noticed that my bath towels started smelling a little weird and not drying as good so I started some research  which lead me to my answer...It was because of my fabric softener. Now, I had to find a way to fix the issue as I don't want to replace all of my towels and the answer was rather simple, VINEGAR! It seems these days, Vinegar has been the cure to most anything.

First, you'll want to put your towels in, wash them in HOT water. Instead of detergent, just add vinegar. Do not add softener or detergent!

When they finish washing, wash again with just detergent.

Dry on High Heat. The smell should be completely gone. If the smell has not gone, let them soak overnight in one cup of vinegar and repeat the steps.

Homeschooling Projects, O how fun!

Gracie will be in Second Grade starting this coming week and Ms. Chloe will be doing pre-school at home. This year I would like to teach Gracie that things can be made at home. I want her to have the knowledge to survive without having to depend on fully manufactured items...Ok, for those of you who know me personally, KNOW that I'm not "green" by any means but I'm trying!

Here's a list of items that we'll be making  so far:
1. Fabric Softener
2. Laundry Detergent
3. Dryer Sheets
4. Homemade Clorox wipes
5. Homemade fruit Snacks
6.Hand Soap
7.Body Wash
8. Frozen Yogurt Snacks
9. Homemade Tortillas

I'm sure the list will increase over the next few weeks. I can't wait for this journey and I think I'm more excited than she is! I have friends who will be bringing their children along on this journey as well!

Welcome Aboard!
